Tic Tac Toe for Android

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Tic Tac Toe Android app (package com.zyfron.tictactoe) handles your data. The short version: it collects nothing, sends nothing and has no way to reach the internet.

Data we collect

None. The app has no user accounts, no registration, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs. We receive no personal data from you through the app, and there is nothing for us to store, share or sell.

What the app stores on your device

The app keeps a small amount of state in its own private storage so that it behaves the way you left it:
· your settings, such as language, theme, the colours of X and O, sound and vibration, and who takes the first move;
· the current unfinished round;
· your score counters and streaks;
· a history of your last 100 finished rounds, each stored as the sequence of moves so it can be replayed.
All of this stays in the app's private area on your device. It is not personal data in the sense of the GDPR, it never leaves the device through the app, and it is not accessible to other apps.

No network access

The app does not declare the INTERNET permission in its manifest. Android therefore prevents it from opening any network connection at all. That is a technical guarantee, not a promise: even if we wanted to transmit something, the operating system would refuse.

Permissions

The app requests exactly one permission, VIBRATE, which lets it give haptic feedback when you place a mark. It is granted automatically by Android, it exposes no data, and you can switch the vibration off in the app's settings. No camera, no microphone, no location, no contacts, no files.

Android backup

Android's built-in backup is enabled for the app, so your settings and match history can be restored when you set up a new device. That backup is handled by Android and, depending on your device settings, may be stored in your own Google account. We have no access to it. You can disable backup for the app in your Android system settings.

Distribution via Google Play

The app is distributed through Google Play. Google processes data about installs, updates, crashes and, where applicable, purchases as part of running the store, and provides us with aggregated, anonymous statistics about installs and technical stability. That processing happens in the Play Store, not in the app, and is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data and shows no ads, using it requires no consent and reveals nothing about the person playing.

Deleting your data

You can clear your match history and reset your statistics from within the app. Clearing the app's storage in the Android system settings, or uninstalling the app, removes everything it has stored. Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing further for us to delete.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As we process no personal data through this app, we have nothing to disclose in response to such a request, but you are welcome to contact us at any time.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes what it stores or gains any network functionality, we will update this page and the date above before releasing that version.
